		<description>Hello Open-Secrets,

I can&#039;t find how to leave a comment for the current post on toilet seats but here are my thoughts on the matter. If you are using a uni-sex toilet, it is your responsibility as a human being to PUT THE SEAT DOWN. I don&#039;t care what your dad said to do. Leaving the seat up sends a &quot;screw you ladies&quot; message, I think.

What do you think a woman has to do when she goes in to use the bathroom after you leave the seat up? She has to put it down. Either with her hand or her foot. If everyone uses their foot to raise and lower the seat, it isn&#039;t going to last long which isn&#039;t fair to the owner who is providing a seat for you.

You can always do what we women have to do...which is to wait to go until we can get the seat cover situated on the seat and then sit down. Now that takes time. Believe me, it would be wonderful if men sat to pee.

How long does it take to grab a piece of toilet paper to use as a shield for germs when raising or lowering a seat? Not long at all. Why not consider it a gift that there is a seat there for you in the first place. Have you ever been in some of the bathrooms in Italy and France? They have beautiful white tile bathrooms but in the stalls??? They have holes in the floor.

Of course a hole in the floor would be great for the men...
